The PTSA supports many programs and activities at school, and WE NEED YOU! You can help in three different ways.
First, you can join PTSA for only $5. We need members to function. If you become a member, it doesn’t mean that you have to be on the board or volunteer, but it is an important way to show your support.
Second, you can donate. We don’t do a fundraiser, so we rely on donations. With the money we receive, we are able to sponsor and support many activities at Riverview that help students and teachers. See below for a printable membership and donation form:
Third, you can volunteer. There are not many activities at school that require parent involvement, but there are some. Most are fairly simple like donating some food to the teachers during conferences or making copies, but others require a little more time like taking a shift at the book fair or helping out with Dutch Oven. Either way, it is always fun to be involved at the school and satisfying to help out.
We need volunteers in the following areas:
- Eye and scoliosis screening
- Teacher appreciation week
- Faculty meals during SEP’s
- Spelling bee
- School science fair
- PTSA student projects
- Reality Town
Our meeting on Friday, September 4, 2015 will be our General Membership meeting. Members are welcome to come and vote on our budget for this year. It will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the school.
We are happy to serve at Riverview and are very grateful to our board, the administration, teachers, and staff for their support of our PTSA. Please contact us if you have any questions for us. You can reach us by email ([email protected]) or by phone (Stefanie Gold 801-281-9895, Angie Van 801-281-2290).
